Thanks guys. The LEDs are actually Super White. I think it just came across as a blue tint. We were going to do all the temp, clock and odo in red. But we blew the spare leds and decided to try the white on the odo. It turned out pretty good im my opinion. Actually, the pics don't do any justice. We just hated the old look. It was as if there were yellow candles behind the gauges. We also found the chrome gauge rings on ebay. But we painted them silver. It completely changes the look. Only bad thing is we lost the the rubber strips that go behind the dash buttons. So currently the buttons don't work.

We also just changed the LED in the auto climate control to Super White. The next project is figuring out the switches.

Also painting the trim silver...

i noticed that there are some dark spots in the cluseter, is that because of the directionailty of the leds?
can u also take a pic of the a/c
thanks

there is a good chance the led put in there is not working or a dim LED . i had to replace a light in the same area because it was dim and it was a simple light that was out.

How did you Chang your climate control lights

There is a dark spot on the right side. We broke all our spare LEDs we ordered, so my brother got a temp fix by buying some universal LEDs from Advance Auto parts and putting it that spot. On the 2 big center ones we used the multi directional LEDs.

The A/C unit takes one bulb. If you pull the unit out, it's on the bottom.Twist off. This is for the digital climate control of course. I'll post a pic as soon as I get a chance

Looks cool...

I was tempted for awhile to get the chrome rings to go around the gauges but didnt want to take out or open the cluster as its still working perfectly (cross fingers) and all original. Someone told me once you take em out and open it you get problems after?

Looks really nice!

Did you have to remove any filter or something in the LCD´s?

Good luck with the switches by the way, the leds in those arent soldered they are nited (don´t know if thats correctly spelled.
Best chance is to cut of the old led´s and solder new ones on the old legs with a very small soldering iron.

No, there were no filters to remove, so we were lucky. Just straight LEDs.

We haven't got round to the switches yet, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Thanks

I got them from autolumination.com. There's a post somewhere on the forum that tells you the exact LEDs to buy.Their shipping time is awesome. I've ordered from them a couple of times and each time the box is here in 2 days with regular shipping.

I did not swap the speedometer out. We just replaced the LEDs. It took about 2 hours to disassemble and assemble everything back. The crappiest part is figuring which way to put the LEDs in because of the polarity. the wrong way and it will not work. So if you are doing it during daylight, good luck.

i managed to take my cluster out to take a look... i think i know what bulbs to get now... and in the process of taking it out i cracked the plastic cover of the cluster... going to the salvage yard tom to see if i can get it.. other than that 180 bucks to get one straight from germany....
