Help! I'm poor and hot

My A\C compressor keeps cutting off after about one minute.

Everything appears fine inside, but then it starts blowing warm. When I look at the ac clutch it has stopped.

If I stop and restart the car, clutch engages and blows cold for only a minute then stops again.

I have a 98 c230 (non kompessor).

I saw where someone else had what sounded like this exact problem on these boards. And he replaced a sensor and cleared codes. He had a 95 (I think) Might this work on my 98 or no?

You're try'in to save some $$ but in the end you're spending more $$. Take it to a MB shop and let them figure it out.

Have you checked the level of your refrigerant? Does the EC light start flashing just before it stops cooling? When the refrigerant get below a certain level, the compressor will shut off after a very short time of running in order to protect itself. Just a thought.
