For those like me who are not up to the task of retrofitting a Command system with GPS and thus bought a Garmin, Magellan, etc., how are you mounting your GPS in your car?
I unexpectedly just got a Garmin given to me as a gift and it also came with an optional big huge friction mount thing that sits on the dash. Has anyone used one of these weighted beanbag things in their w202? I am just skeptical about them. (Not to mention it looks like a little lesbian Munchkin forgot and left her strap-on dildo on your dash.) I think I would rather just deal with the suction cup mount -- or do those detach on their own often and cause problems?
Is there any place on the windshield that is more reliable for the suction mount to stay affixed? Center? To the left by the driver's windshield frame? Just looking for some advice from people who have been using one of these for a while.
Is it true that in California you can't mount anything to the windshield with a suction cup mount?
