Hey guys. Im upgrading springs here real soon and I just wanted to know which set of springs are better. The Eibach Prokit or the H&R Sport (both moderate lowering). Are there benefits to either of them or are they basically the same? Also, what # pads do you guys think I should go with? I don't have much weight in the car because I have no system and I usually have the spare tire out. Im looking to lower it to where there isnt any space between the tire and fender but I don't want it too low and the fender cover the tire. So do you guys think #2 pads would be okay? Thanks in advance :D

I personally liked the H&R springs since they are german made. i hear the eibach springs tend to sag after a while. i left the factory pads in the rear that came with it and replaced the front with #1's like the H&R instructions told me. when i didn't i noticed the front was slightly higher in the rear when the #4 i think they were , were left in.....

Hey Logic, thanks for replying. I looked at some of your pics for your car and it looks like the front sits higher than the rear.. Is that what you were just trying to explain to me? Is that the setup with #1 in the front and factory #4 in the rear? Thanks again :D

actually the front is lower but if you look rear good i m on a slanted drive way, in my case when i did my springs H&R requested that you use #1 in front and i see why when i did it. but at the time i wasn't sure what that meant since when i did the springs i was new to the mercedes thing. i left the rear pads alone in the rear i m asumming they are #4 since my fronts were. i would just get the #1 in front if you do any spring. plenty of wheel clearence and no rubbing

O yea lol, I forgot about the slanted drive way. Do you have any pics of it on a flat surface? Also, is your setup the 1.4 lower in the front and 1.3 in the rear?

You already ordered them, but wanted to agree on H&R. Had them now for 7 years on the car and they been great. Only thing to do now is get new shocks and thats it.

Yea, I'd like the Bilstein shocks as well. From my understanding, the digit ending in 54 and 55 are sport models for lowered stance, while the digits ending in 56 and 57 are HD for Heavy Duty, stock height 280/36/43 models. Just an FYI.

so are the heavy duty ones better than the sport for 280/36/43

if so, why are they better?
