I have a 94 C280 and got error code P1700. I checked the vacuum lines and the line going to the transmission does not hold a vaccum. I am assuming the kickdown cable is the culprit. I have read the pan needs to be dropped but wht ellse is involved? Does the valve body need to be dropped as well? Just wondering if anyone has done this themselves and also any information on the adjustment of the cable would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if its a diy but I had the p1700 code as well. When my indy shop replaced the throttle cable they also replaced the upshift delay switchover valve. Good luck on getting it fixed.
