i did a search on this but haven't found any answers. i recently replaced my rear brakes in the rear with zimmerman cross drilled rotors and went with a ceramic pad this time . although my fronts are semi metallic oem pads threw mercedes i have had no issue with sqeaking . well its been about 200 miles and they are starting to sqeak and i notice alot of brake pad dust. is this normal with the brake dust and if so when does the residue start reducing down? is there a break in time for this to stop? the cross drill holes cause this amount of brake dust? i m not sure what name brand the ceramic pads are but they are threw brakes plus and were highly recommended for there quietness and prolong wear.

most ceramic pads will wear the shit out of your rotor quick style

ok, but the question i have is it normal to see alot of brake dust at first? and the sqeaking i see it might be normal but the semi metallics up front dont do that . i m going to wait till the rotor gets shiney like the front and see if it changes it might be cause the rotors are new?

When I put my Akebono Euro Ceramics on, they never emitted dust, even when new.
