I have some 19's on my 98 C280 sport with the same offset, It is VERY close to the front shock tower, they are 19x8.5 with 38mm offset, and running 225/35 19's, also my car is stock height for now. Hope this helps you out.

What is the wheel width..?

Offset and Width are both important factors that will determine whether the wheel fit on your car..?

8 width on the front (17x7, or 18x8, 0r 19x8) with ET38 would be fine..

and if you have 8.5 width on the front I'd go for 35m offset jut to be on a safe side..

You should be fine with 1.5, maybe some rubbing on full turns, I have 8.5 front and 9.5 on back and have no rubbing at all, but again I am at stock height and could come down 1.5" no problem, the part of the shock I am talking about is if you were to look at the inside of your wheel well and at the top of the tire the shock sticks out, mine is really close to this but no rubbing, also I have Nitto tires which have been said to have a smoother sidewall. Hope this is helping you out. And everyone thinks they are 18's!!!!!!!! Need to lower asap. I could snap some pics and send if you would like. Let me know.

yeah if you could snap some pics that would be awesome! appreciate it! so you didnt need to roll your fenders or anything with that setup right? cause i kinda wanna avoid that... im thinkin i might go for it and just pray it fits ok... i mean a lil rubbing here and there would be ok... i just dont want any damage to be done to anything...

Naw no rolling the fenders, but I think if you had cut springs and were lower than 2" you would have to roll the fenders, with 38mm offset you push the wheel more inwards instead of outwards to the fenders letting you run a little wider, overall I like the staggered look, but if I had to do again I would go 8.5 all around and put spacers on the back to get the look, so you could rotate and get more wear out of them. I will take some pictures tomorrow after work, it was really windy and dusty today so she stayed inside. 1SIKBNZ what wheels are you getting?

Is there any indication on the wheels what offset you have. How would you know your offset.

Well when I ordered the wheels I specified that offset, and when they showed up on the original box they came out of it confirmed that offset (38mm), there is some stampings next to the hub but I did not pay attn to what they said. Were you doubting me?

There should stamping "ET 38" or "ET 35" which indicates offset in mm
