After upgrading the front brakes of my 202 from the C32AMG w203 chassis I had to get the rear breaks done as well..
So I made an upgrade with the rear brake system of a C36AMG I bought on ebay for $85!
I feel now the car's breaking more equaly cause before I only had strong brakes at the front axle!

Here's a couple of pics, enjoy

How do you like em? If you're ever looking to further upgrade, CLK63 rear brakes bolt on to our cars :D

That way when you brake, the rear end will come out. I'm sure the CLK63 rear brakes are 10 times as good as the stock front brakes. Lol

i considered doing the c32 upgrade but your saying the braking in front caused a issue with the rear? how was it , did it seem the front was causing the rear to lift?

Well yes... Because of the C32's 4pots , the braking power was too intense causing the front of the car to dive...
Just install bigger brakes at the back and you're gonna be aaaaaallright!

Good work,nice cheap upgrade!

Hmmm alittle odd though i could swear my 230k rears look the same size as your C36 ones!,maybe your originals are pre-update?0o...did you happen to measure the C36 diameter before install?

I would not be surprised, as the C280 and C36 shared the same brakes in 96-97, and I believe the larger calipers carried over to the kompressors versus us NA 4-cylinder models.

The diameter is 290mm :)

Step up to C43 rears if you're looking to upgrade. They are the same as C32/C55 rears, as well as countless other Benzes.
