Has anyone installed a hid kit into the aftermarket crystal clear headlight housings? is th eheat to much for them? any issues? beam pattern? etcetc. what kit? pics? thanks in advance for any help!

HID lights have less heat than Halogen lights

sik! what kit did you use? hard install?

I got em. HIDs take 5 minutes to install just need a 1" drill

Sorry to thread jack for a moment with what is probaly an obvious question but: when you get new headlights does the new housing come with everything needed to hold the bulb in place?

pluggin them in is pretty obvious once you see the plugs

can i order anytype of bulb size? or does it plug into the original bulb socket... long story and not sure how but I currently have h4 bulbs and HATE them. I want to go back to the original which I think was h1 or h7... so if i get a kit can i go back to those bulbs sizes?

What the difference? That was meant to be H4 because of the dual filament bulb.

That's strange.... I got H4 in my C280... :confused: and that's stock..

H7 is lows, H1 is highs, H3 are fogs. Thats for 97-00.

And I have h4 in there now and it sucks compared to what it used to be... =(
but if i get a kit can I get an h7 bulb kit with no problems?

which brand should i be getting. i would also like to upgrade my headlights too

anyone have any ideas of how good those after market ones are?
