hey guys, i was under the impression that the diff in my 1998 C200 Classic, is an LSD, am i incorrect assuming this?

I doubt you have that. Maybe you are confusing it with ASR whichi is Anti Slip Regulation? This uses the ABS system and brakes to prevent/regulate wheel slip by braking the wheel that is slipping/spinning faster than the other wheel.

no you don't non of us do unless you have a AMG in witch it was an option

NO limited slips period.
Only 65 AMGs or 030 Option cars (mid to late 2000s).
no w202s have LSDs, more importantly why in the world would a C200 need an LSD, it doesn't have enough power to need one.
