How do I get another IR key and cost?

My daughter will be getting her license ( look out) and I will probably get her a key. i am assuming this is from the dealer. Anybody know how much its going to cost?

you need to go to the dealership. you need your VIN and proof of ownership. key will be from 120-180

Call around to different dealers. The price can vary wildly. Before the recession started, some were charging way up in the $200's for a smart key.

I payed 208$ for my smart key. PS. Their going to give you the new smart key the one with crome around the edge.

Will the versions on ebay work? Some of those are running 50 bucks with a blank key..

no, not for smart key. You can only get them from dealerships

just got one.... 220! fuckin ripoff! Proof registration, id, and vehichle needs to be present at time of pickup, or mb service guy needs to deliver it to vehicle... insane! its snazzy lookin but for 220 the coulda at least put a diamond or sumthin in it!

were you charged a $25 delivery fee ? I was in the parts room and the parts guy said he would waive it for you. we are now charging a $25 fee to deliver keys or you get to haul your car down even if it means a flatbed. you pick. :cool:
