Looks like a regular op-amp of sorts?,i find it hard to believe its programmed...sounds more like they simply alter IAT voltage to make it slightly richer in all conditions which would give a slight increase in power....how that makes for better economy i dont think so.

check out this site..it's basic but the guy is a friend of mine who did my c43. i recommend his tuning over anything else. i've driven other cars that had competitors tuning and then his and was amazed at how some of these big name "tuners" cars ran like crap when directly compared to something else. if you need a number let me know if it's not on the site.

Is this comparing ECU map tuning as apose to Altering an input signal to the ECU?

Proper map tuning will always be the winner as long as the tuner knows his stuff and you can afford to pay for his time.

im driving a 202 and he did it. they are on there. your best bet is to call him. he can do any european car. audi/vw/porsche/merc/ferrari/lambo..etc. you can find info about him on tdi forums. just google cartoys ny and there is some links on there to a tdi forum (his old site was cartoysny) and some of the vw people he has dealt with are talking of there experiences.. he's a good guy and will answer anything honestly.
