are you replacing the resonator? I don't think there is much you can do with the bolts besides cutting them off. Sawzall time.

i need to replace the gasket actually. It rattles and sounds like a cheap honda (no offense).

have someone torch them out. if u want to do it yourself u can cut them but they will still be stuck in the flange. sometimes a small hand torch can get them hot enough to wiggle loose with vice grips or beat them through with a hammer. your best bet is to have a shop with an oxyacetalene torch for backup in case u cant get them out.

good idea i think its not worth the headache considering the gasket is only 10 bucks...im not really saving anything by doing it by myself.

you could try "pb blaster" on it to see if itll come loose.spray and let it dry.then spray it again.....though i must warn you that the smell is awful.i would do it outside.let it sit overnight, and then spray it again.give it try.should be able to get it at any auto parts store

Mine were similar to that... I sprayed them with PB Blaster then used a 6 point socket and got them to budge.. Yours look pretty rusted over and may require a rotary cutter. I ended up replacing mine with stainless hardware and anti-seize on the threads.

When you replace those, use a stainless bolt of the correct size, a stainless lockwasher, along with a brass nut. Makes future removal all the easier.

just take a air cut-off wheel and cut them between the 2 flanges. then after you seperate it, you hit the bolts/nuts out with a hammer and a center punch. trust me they pop right off....done it a million times. don't let the rust scare you!
