Rear brakes are beginning to pulse. Know that almost always
means a warped rotor, but I just had new OEM rotors
put on a little over a year go. Hard to believe they've gone
bad so soon. Anyone have this experience and found the pulsing was caused by something other than
a warped rotor?

Did you replace rear brake pads as well?

Go to Autozone, they might have the answer for your problem. :D

Certain they're the rear brakes. Replaced pads the same
time I replaced the rotors.

did you spin the rear wheel to get to your conclusion? what brand of pad and rotor did you use?

Could be the ABS ; Try braking Hard In Reverse : It will reset the ABS, you will feel It !

Put in OEM pads/rotors from the stealership. Why would it
be the ABS? And, if it is, how would you "feel it" in reverse?

Try it first ! You will notice the difference

I sometimes feel my brakes pulse too, mainly when it comes to a complete stop. It looks like my rears are near time to replace but there seems to be life on the pads.

Well, had my mechanic look at the brakes. Rotors
aren't warped; pads OK; no loose hardware.
Everything looks fine. So it may be the ABS.
When I brake in reverse I notice the pulsing does stop...at least for a while. If it is the ABS how do you fix it?

You have to brake HARD in reverse to reset ; Dont try and play with the ABS, get it overhauled by a pro; Your life may depend on it !

And what's involved in the "overhaul"? I'm guessing maybe
the rear ABS sensor is just sending false signals to the
ECR (which I hope doesn't have to be replaced).

maybe you have a caliper that needs to be replaced or a combination of worm caliper and warped rotor??? if thats at all possible

Doubt it. Mechanic used very sophisticated
measuring device and found no warping
at all with rotor. Everything else checked out.
Thinking the rear ABS sensor is not
working correctly. When I brake in reverse, then
drive forward,
there's no pulsing for the first few times
I brake. After that the pulsing begins again.
