glove box bulb replacement

Gotta replace the glove box bulb. Haynes says you gotta take
out the entire glove box to get to the bulb. Anyone done this? Looks like you
have to pull out four rivets. Do you just pry them up and they
come out?

Yes there are 4 rivets that basically just pop out. The glove box is a plastic box with a thin layer of felt on the inside. It is pretty sturdy so just pull it out and change the bulb

Do you need a special tool to pop out the rivets or can you
do it with a screwdriver? Do you replace them by just pushing
them back in? Don't want to rip up the felt liner in the box.

Yeah just use a flat head screwdriver and pop the middle part out then the whole thing pops out. To install just push it in then push down the middle button to lock it. Just make sure the screwdriver doesn't slip and scratch the felt.
