I have an after market LED taillights similar to jstrat's taillights and some of the LED's had burned out. Does anyone know what kind of replacement LED should I replaced it with? The LED does not look like the regular LED but more similar to a christmas light bulb.

i also have led tails and have had some go out...all you can do is replace the tail light, the led's on there aren't really replaceable but if you wanna try you can but you may see the difference in light. if you do think you can do it lets us know . there may be a way but i think you be better off replacing them casue if you do something wrong you can damage the light

I had a chance to take a good look at it this morning and it can be replace. Just remove the LED from it's rubber casing. I have some 5mm white LED to try it out and it works. Just make sure the longer led or the positive end is inserted with the white marking on the rubber casing. Now all I need to do is to order some red 5mm LED from Ebay.
