The engine is engineered for 91 octane or above. I would run 91 octane or above.

however i do remember reading in the manual, that if you absolutely have to, and theres not any other type of gas, they say you can fill up maybe half with 89, until you can find a station with 91 octane, and then fill the rest of it up with 91 octane.for emergency only.stick with 91 though.in case anyone was wondering

i wish gas didnt contain ethanol.our cars would last longer, run better, and get better gas mileage....i remember driving through a small town in alabama that still sold gas without ethanol, and i could immediately feel a change in performance and gas mileage
