I just installed K&N's in my 99 C43 and I have to say I feel the car has lost power..... Any thoughts guys?????
Dyno Sheets or it didnt happen :p
Given that filters dont generally give large hp increases unless the previous filter was heavily restrictive,it may be difficult to gauge any difference at all.
Last time i purchased a K&N filter i found it was heavily oiled which tended to lubricate pretty much everything downstream of it,cleaning the mas of any oil deposits may help you.

maybe you expected to much and the difference you thought you was going to do wasn't there making you think you dropped power...i use a k&n on a custom intake on my kompressor and it breathes alot better but as far as hp it maybe helped but not enough to notice also and have to be very careful about the oil, but i think you should be ok since the oil it has is min. and shouldn't cause any damage. the issue accures when people clean it and reoil it when it becomes a issue of oil....

The airflow from the filter goes straight to the MAS/MAF. IF the filter is heavily oiled, it may hinder performance. I have heard both good and bad things in regards to these filters. From my experience, the K&N did not seem to increase anything. If so, it was very minimal. For the C43, only a s/c or turbo will give "butt dyno" results.

Oh no..... I have been driving the car with great consistancy since I bought it last year. Case and point, I know the car and if anyone knows their car they are able to pick up on any subtle change in performance. I have a history of tuning my honda so perhaps I am more sensitive to changes in performance than most but one thing is certain....I knew I wasn't bolting on a blower with these filters. I just found it odd that the car is not responding the way it was before the install. In fact upon punching it it doesn't down shift as readily. hmmmm :/ I will clean out the intake and MAF and report back.

5 months after i bought the car i finally got the k&n filter for my c230 kompressor,i was told to not ,due the fact a lot people believe they are not that good with the 2.3 s/c engine, but against any prediction the filter is been working fine and you feel the difference,it is just minimal.
