I finally installed my SuperSprint Header, the install was not smooth at all.. had a few kind of large things to figure out. and I had to do some things to get it driveable, so I could at least get myself home.. even if it was limping home!
I have 2 issues now,
1. Exhaust leak,
2. Supercharger shut down beacuse of the exhaust leak I think.
actually i have a third issue now.. check engine light. but Im pretty sure its because the supercharger is not engaging. or it could be because of one of the things I had to do to get my car back together.
but anyways here are the pics,

Sorry for the lack of pics at the end of the install.. had to cut it short as I was taking a hell of a lot longer then I ever anticipated. took about 5 hours total as I ran into some glitches!
Ill have to figure out all my issues and then hopefully get a feel for the header.. my supercharger doesnt work at the moment so I cant comment on any difference when driving! hopefully get the exhaust leak fixed on the weekend.

*edit*I fixed the lack of supercharger, and my check engine light.. plug pulled off my bypass valve- locking tab broken, so i replaced the connector and im good.
still have my exhaus tleak though.. which is definitely making me lag in power a lil.. so ill get that fixed on saturday morning hopefully. Ill comment then on the feel of it.

i see there was more bolts holding the supersprint , did it come with the bolts? was getting the older ones off a pain in the ass due to the rust on the bolts? how about threading in the new ones? where is the leak coming from?

i think the exhaust wrap is a bag idea.is that the way they came from supersprint?....ive done a long search on the item, and most people have moisture build up,and ultimately ruins/rusts the headers

shouldve gone with ceramic coating

hope you get the leak fixed

Awsome dude FINALLY!!!(like i can talk^^)
Always takes way longer than expected!! =)

Sure looks the part!,the amount of bolts used is the OE amount on my car...i see they use less on the oe cast header!

Heat wrap shouldnt cause much issue on a stainless header, over heating it should be unlikely too.

Jelous as about the room you have around the header...im thinking of swapping out my box for a rack from a newer mb.

Are you sure the SC issue isnt a damaged connector or wire to the clutch?

Edit: i See your Edit =P
I reckon there is no way possible you could not gain HP or potential hp by removing that log header for the supersprint!...what would also make quite a difference would be to tune your ECU to match your setup once complete! can it be done with your stock ecu? i know the guys over here can do it now with most!

looks good!
the wrap looks good aswell! i just wraped my down pipe, i would have wraped my hole headers if i had the wrap on me when i did it,
logic the nuts and studs are copper and when they put them in they used that anti seize copper paste, well they did on myne anyway.
some of the bolts under the header are a pita tho.

hope it all works out

OKAY!!! I have an update, just finished fixing the leak tonight.
and I gotta say I do notice a difference. it seems to pull more.
The exhaust is definitely a lil bit louder, seems to feel smoother if that makes sense.
The Dyno will me for sure what Im putting down to the ground now. so Ill have to Dyno it soon.
Ill post up results when I get the dyno done.
