i think slammed c put a pull on his...isnt that the pulley that is larger which makes the supercharger spin faster? i think you have to do a relocate on the maf if you do that.

not really, its the pullley from the crank thats larger...and makes the supercharger pully "smaller"

so what pulley are you talking about?

your not replacing the supercharger pulley, your replacing the crank pull which is larger then the stock one...with a larger one on...it makes the supercharger pulley seem smaller

I have a Kleemann K23 Kit for my car.. similar to the ASP kit.. but I have a larger crank pulley... and my kit probably cost about 4 times as much!! The Kleemann kit is no longer available. from what Ive seen the ASP kit seems good. there is also a company called LET Motorsports that offers a crank pulley as well..

Yes you do increase the size of the Crank pulley to spin the supercharger faster.

i just sent LET tunning an email asking how they compare. i dunno if i like the fact the their kit just contains a 'ring' that slips over the old harmonic dampener i guess. but for 750 bucks, you get a larger crank pulley and an ecm flash for approx 55 more hp. that would make our cars feel like night and day! i was intending on getting the ASP kit but it's soo pricey:S

watch out for LET. Locals here have had issues with them and thier tunes, it seemed like they were guessing things while tunning and eventually ran my friends car extreme lean.

if anything, get powerchip tunning.

Sorry to wake this thread but it never hurts to stir the pot.
Question?
Does anyone have the crank pulley size in mm of the ASP and what boost it is raised to?? I know that the stock pulley size is 185mm. Is the 220mm pulley pretty much overkill??

They both are from C230s. If someone could verify the size and boost of the ASP or the Kleemann it would very helpful. I might just throw it on and see what happens. Not too concerned about the cars engine or trans. All about the free HP though :classic:

I believe my Kleemann pulley is 9" in diameter.. puts out roughly 12psi.. compared to stock 5.5psi.

Good god that is a low boost!!! But boost none the less I guess.
That puts it around 229mm. Ill say the pulley I have is 11lbs of boost but once on Ill be able to verify for sure.
Oh and the larger pulley was from a wrecked 2002 C230 kompressor. Turns out to be an ASP pulley. What luck!

Thanks Slammed for the info.

what car is this going in ? if its a 98 or 99 from what i understand you will have to relocate the MAF for best performance.....

Yes the MAS relocation is a must when running a pulley kit on the Kompressor M111.

I came into a 1999 C230 really cheap for a beater/economy car. When I say cheap I mean cheeeaaaappppp!!!!! The pulley was free along with the manual tranny. Unfortunately the 02 ASP doesnt fit on the 98-00.

Driving my C43/55k as a daily is fun but not cost effective. I have a bad habit of not leaving any of my cars stock.
