Well After getting my rear diff fluid changed, i noticed a faint....clacking noise. I took it back to the place were i got it done, they couldn't pin point the sound. They even checked the fluid to make sure nothing was leaking, which was n/a. As i speed up, so does the sound. I do how ever have extended warrenty... Now i know they love to send a adjuster out to inspect the car, and look around for stuff so they don't have to pay up. I do have a lowering kit, and monoblocks on there... I don't think any of those things could cause a problem unless you guys know and experinced it. So any idea? Its going to the dealership tommarow....if its alot that extended warrenty won't cover...i'm considering it a total lost...and time to move on to another car/truck. :bored:

It might be your bearing.

I don't think so, I would jack it up to see if there's any play. But it seems to happen as soon as Im driving. You think a lighter weight of diff fuild would cause this?

Mines was 80 dollars, I changed it, because I don't believe in lifetime fuilds

Sorry to get back to everyone late, i've been extremly busy. Anyway its odd that i really don't hear the noise anymore. So i'm not to sure why it would happen after a fluid change

I highly doubt it, it would have locked up by now or be in a "free spin". The m3's have this same problem when the fuild is changed then it just goes away.
