Dashboard Lights

Hey guys, I've had my 1999 C280 for 10 years and I cannot remember ... my climate control panel (in dashboard) does NOT light up - Is it supposed to be back lit like other stuff?

its just a bulb.....you can use radio keys to pull out the climate control, and theres a white plug that you twist and pull out. i got the bulb from the dealership. couple bucks

Most places would give it for free.
