How many of you have this pressmark from side armrest?

My car has this pressmark from the sidearm rest!

I have seen this on numerous Benzes!

Does many of you have this?
And why does it happen?
I see my side bolster cushion has lost some of it's shape, it sticks out a little more than the other side!

Check your cars if you have anything like this!
I have only seen this on C43's

hmmm strange i dont think mine does this although it isnt a c43. ill have to check it out real closely. mine is a sport which is different from just a c230 k and the seats in the sports have the holes in the seat or dimples as the c230 k dont , or dont have as much from what i read....

Check the highlighted area from bottom to top!
The side backrest is sticking out a bit more, this makes it stay closer
to the door armrest giving a pressmark, (the round highlighted area!)
I have seen this on several C43 AMG cars both on Ebay and german car site www.mobile.de
I guess this side backrest looses it's shape over time and gets bloated somehow?
It is properly installed there is a plastic hook on back that snaps into the cars back hinge!
When I grease up the leather every year for dry prevention, I always remove the complete sit cushion and the side baackrests!
I clean them at home and backrest that folds down I clean and moist in the car!
Wait a day or so for total dryness then reinstall everything back!

This pressmark I only have it on drivers side back, the passengers side is without this pressmark!

I need to check but im pretty sure my 99 C280 Sport does not have this. It also has the dimples as mentioned before if this makes a difference

My best guess is that only the C43 has this as it uses the same 202 chasis/door design yet the back rest of the seat may be modified from the non-C43 models which means they did not compensate for this in the door design (ie: maybe shorten the door armrest in the C43 so it doesnt hit the seat)

Im just guessing so I might be completely wrong

yeah buddy, you might have a point here about armrest design that differs from a C-280 over a C43!
I have only seen these dimples on several C43's!
Check Autotrader!
There are a few C43's with this dimple!

The strange thing is why do I have it on the rear drivers side and not the rear passengers side as well?

There are C43's without these dimples!
Explain that to me!
How can MB factory keep such tolerance flaws on a car?
This dimple must be factory delivered!
It can not have happen after the car has been delivered?
Or after being a few years old!
I bought my car when it was 5 years old it had the dimple on the backseat then, now it's 10 years!

Mercedes had lots of problems with quality issues from mid 90's to about 2005
This must have been during the MB/CHRYSLER era that MB had to degrade the famous Mercedes quality in to junk equivalent to a Chevy Nova car!
Biggest mistake was the greediness MB had incorporating Chrysler!
They had to cut down on quality by plugging all ratholes in the sinking ship Chrysler, This was a disaster marriage in hell!
And who's got to pay for these mistakes, made by MB,
we are the suckers, all MB owners!
Although owning a C43 is fun, it's a beautiful car, but the quality is not what it used to be!
To many shitty problems, these cars does not deserve these cheap glitches!
