Does anyone got a pic of rear axel boot?
I'm just curious coz my mechanic told me that my rear axel boot is torn. And that don't sell them individually but as a whole.
Thanks

just buy a used axle from a junk yard. i got both axles and the diff for $350 from a junk yard out here.

replacing the axle is super easy. remove wheel and then removed axle nut. then remove all the bolts holding the axle to the diff. axle falls right out and insert new one!

My other mechanic told me that I can buy the boot but it will cost in labor. It's better to replace the whole thing. It will cost me about $500 for both + labor. ;)

shouldn't take too long to pul out the axle, replace the boots and put it back together.. a couple hours at most I would think.
boot kit cant be that much either. although it would be much simpler to just get a used axle and swap it!

A used boot kit, no guarantee how long will it last. ;)

boot kit = cheap parts, more labor
used/new axle = more expensive parts, cheap labor

i had over 65k on my used rear axles after i replaced them with no problems what-so-ever. just make sure you spray silicone all over the rubber boots a few times a year to keep the rubber soft and to prevent cracking. i always do this on all my cars everytime the car goes on the lift for any service :D

i use either "CYCLO heavy duty silicone spray" or "KEL pure silicone" but that's just what my dealer uses. you can use any brand you find at your local parts store.....it really doesn't matter!
