Warning triangle in trunk / boot lid?

Do all models for all markets have these fitted as standard equipment? I know in the UK & Europe all W202s I've seen have them, just wondered if they were standard on the USA version.

Mine is missing but my trunk has the cut out for it means whoever owned the car before me kept it =(

US cars did not have the triangle.

My 97 Elegance doesnt have it. But my 1989 W124 did, and my 220CE

I think the plan is you should your car break down on the side of the road you remove it from it's lair, park it about 75 yards behind your car & hope it helps you from being mown down by some asleep at the wheel idiot.

And don't forget to pick it up after break down before leaving.... Didn't have one in my 43 when I got the vehicle. Purchased a OE at the MB dealer and got ripped of over $100 equivalent :(

You did get ripped off. You can get them cheap from $25-$40 used. All my Benz's have them.

Sure did, but then I live across the Pond in a country where people think we live in luxury and earn trillions (some do perhaps but not me....). Unfortunately prices ARE high. Ask any expats here :eek:
