im looking to lower my car,but without swapping out the springs as i want it to remain driveable.(due to the rubbish roads, speed humps here in the uk).a member here sugested maybe changing the spring pads.

so i was wondering ,can anyone throw any light onto what size pads my 98 240 sport has?

or what spring pad i should be looking for as a "lower option?"..
any info at all on spring pads would be greatfully recieved.

thanks in advance.

spring pads are rubber shims that go inbetween the spring perch and the actual coil spring to avoid rubbing of metal to metal....

All depends on what size pad you currently have. Both my 94 and 96 came from the factory with #2 pads front and back. Yes it would lower the car....but not much.....only 5mm in my case.

You'll want to check what you have on there first. Since not all 202's were created equal, some weigh more that others due to different options. So this is where the pads come in place. On a heavier car you'll have a bigger pad to bring the car up to normal height. Or if its a sport, you'll have a smaller pad. It all depends.
