View Full Version : Xenon Fog Light Install

I installed some xenon fog lights I got from eBay. They were for H3 bulbs and 6000K temperature range. It drives me crazy when I see xenon kits installed with the modules either zip tied in or just bouncing around.

I took the xenon module apart and drilled two holes in and put bolts. I put some sealant at the base of the bolts. I had to position the bolts where they're at to fit on the brace I bolted them to in the car.

I also drilled holes and put grommets in the bottome of the fogs lights to run the wires through for the xenon bulbs.

Why do you say that JRE? I've been thinking about changing out the stock headllights to something brighter. I saw a xenon retrofit on eBay but didn't do anything about it yet

Coz I was thinking, it draws a lot of electricity to light up a xenon. For fog lights, a small bulb and fuse that's entirely different.
The headlights I don't have anything to say.

Wow, then my xenon reverse light really shouldn't work...

Kind of a waste, dont you think? You have to fire up a ballast and wait for it every time you put the car in reverse?

I had an extra set laying around and some time to kill. I didn't think it would make much of a difference but they're awsome with tinted windows. They take about the same amount of time to fire up that it takes for the transmission to apply B3 to engage reverse.

Clean install!.

Is that a trans or oil cooler down behind the bumper?.

i love the attention to detail. backup xenons might melt your taillight lenses btw.
