I got some replica wheels non-staggered. 18x8.5 F/R and ET 35 I believe. The shop included bolts for my car which were too long I believe. When tightened down, they would create a clicking noise... Just wonder what size bolts I should run? The wheels are conical seat.

stock bolts are 40mm length from the edge of the ball to the tip of the bolt... what clicking sound are you hearing???

your probably hearing the clicking in the rear. The lug bolts are now messing up the ebrake springs. They make a few different sizes. besure to get the right ones.

All you need to do is measure the distance the stock bolts protrude when placed through your stock rims. Measure the center boss thickness of your new rims, and compare that to stock. Then adjust the bolt length to give you the same protrusion on the new rims. Get bolts that long, or have a machine shop cut down the ones that are too long to the correct length. As mentioned, the clicking noise is interference between the bolts and the e-brake hardware. Been there, done that.

Or there is always the ARD stud conversion option. you'll never worry about the right length bolt again. especially if you ever plan on playing around with "stance" Im going to be converting to studs soon a couple of my buddies who are W203 owners have done so. one is constantly swapping between different wheels. I plan to do this so i can go between diff spacer thickness easily. Be careful i used to run shank style spacers and bolts in the rear that were to long. One day the shop that installed my tires used the air hammer and somehow the bolt locked itself to my E-Brake and when trying to back the bolt out it snapped off in the hub.

I am in the process of completing a slew of updates. Studs are one of them.

I also have ball seat nuts, just not in this picture.

I will eventually make rubber covers for the studs, as they are not plated.

The stud conversion looks extremely useful. Whats the cost for parts?

I got them from Dominic from the wagon used for $50 but they are the H&R brand which are fairly expensive like 6 bucks each depending on where you get the extended studs and nuts from i found them here in 70mm http://store.allsprings.com/hr-quick-safe-wheel-bolt-stud-conversion-studs-p2240.aspx i believe 90mm is overall length shank length is 70mm
