Hey guys, I want to CLEAR the GAP on the suspension height of my stock C43, while not making the ride harsher than it already is over bumps. Whats the best way to go to lower an inch and a half or so?

Also, are the chrome rims more heavier than the regular painted ones?

Bilstien sport shock + H&R springs + #2 pads.

change shocks and look into new springs

she those look a little high for a c43 have you ever had springs changed in her

if so they may be the wrong ones

ps (i remember a a long time ago a guy putting concrete blocks in his boot to lower his car what a joker )

Shocks and springs are all original. The height is currently your standard North American C43 height. I just wanna kill the gap! The shocks have to be changed? why?

You will need new shocks to accommodate the lower stance. Shocks specifically made for lowered cars will have shorter shafts.

hi mine sits level with the arches or just above

i have a set of c43 springs from a 1998 car for sale but im based in ireland

i can check the markings and color marks and you can see do they match yours and you can see if the right hight can be droped by just springs

US C43's high suspension
ROW V43's lower suspension
Get a kit as suggested and play around with your pads to get the right stance. If you do it yourself, I would HIGHLY recommend you get the appropriate spring compressor to avoid serious injury to yourself ....or the car. Don't forget to get a good suspension alignement after you find the right spring/shock/pad combination. You'll be set to rock and roll after

Ok thanks guys. How was the ride/driving experience once your cars were lowered vs stock? Right now I'm finding my car too harsh over bumps but thinking because it's too high.

hmm it should be the other way around and harsh when low and kinda not being able to feel bumbs that much when stock.. thats how all of my benz's have been

That's exactly how it should be. Also factor in many people switch out for larger rims with smaller series tires.
