Andy, there are a lot of pictures of members' W202 (C36, C43, C230, C280 etc...) in the members gallery forum. I suggest you got thru them so you can get a pretty good idea which one works best according to your preference.

Here's one to start you off:

18 can fill the arch very well but 17 are amg stock look with no mods on either fit-ment

For me it comes down to the wheel design....I would take 17" AMG mono's over aftermarket 18's (except for Brabus of course)

17 inch looks smaller if you haven't dropped your car, but doesn't make your car slower if the 17 inch rim is lightweight.

18 inch is a bit bigger and fills out the wheelarches better, but they are many times heavier and it slows your car down.
if you are not about speed but only being a cruizer on the boulevard in Tirana then go for 18's, they will look sharp on your car!

Just be careful not to watch the chicks and not the road and fall in a hole and bent your nice 18's ;)

i had 17s and now on 18s... no difference coz overall tire diameter is the same... it just looks so much fuller with 18s than 17s.

I guess I'm normal????
Hoe ho ho.
Or maybe it was, ha ha ha.

My C43 is a nice female too!
Best of both worlds.

use 225/40/18 upfront and 255/35/18 on rear.
if you use a thinner tire profile I think you'll have more of a bumpy ride?
18 inch tires wear out fast, they don't last long
