Engine Code..po170 bank 1

Can anyone help me out....when acclerating on my 1998 C230 the bank 1 reads 24.98%; then at full accleration it flatlines to 0 (zero) and stays there until I let off the gas.

On the Diagnostic Reader it stated Code po170; bank 1. Thank you.

sounds like the MAS(mass air sensor) is on its way out.

Thanks to xvvz for the 5-17-08 post on the correct way to clean the MAF. Had cleaned the wire before but not the blades.The problem came back in a couple of months, must have gotten some cleaner on the blades. After the correct way it runs like it should.
