I just installed a KN Short Ram intake for my car. Been using it for a couple of months now. Just recently, I noticed when i come to a full stop ( Stop Sign or Traffic Lights) then accelerate after, it feels like it struggles to do so, but as the car is already in motion and accelerate it's fine. I tried tightening every hose clamp and making sure there's not leakage of air. My MAF sensor is put on properly where the mesh side is sticking out connecting to the short ram intake. I have no idea?
Im pretty sure it's something with my air intake system because i remember the same problem happening but it was because I put my MAF sensor on backwards.
Any Advice please help!

their should be an arrow on the maf for direction for fit-ment

check that

also did you fit a heat shield so the engine is not getting a huge gulp of hot air it wont like it needs to be as cold as you can get it that is why the stock filter is in a box to keep the hot air away and help with the filter

yeah I just checked it. I put it in where the arrow points at it. So the mesh side is on the outside of the tube. So it's in there correctly
No I dont have a heatsheild, but i have the stock tube that comes sticks outside the grill throwing cold air to the air filter.

Here's a picture. I've been using this setup for a couple of months and this problem just starts happening now?

i would also check and clean trottle body on this car it on the right under the long black tube that heads into your intake manifold

You mean the tube that takes air from the outside (cold air) connecting the tube to my air filter? If im wrong you mind showing me exactly on paint or something, because I have no idea where it is. There's so many tubes lol

That intake setup looks like a really bad design. That tube that comes from the grille is only going to put cold air on one area of the filter. The rest is going to suck in hot air like horgantrevor suggested. Not a good thing.

Someone did a dyno test on a K&N filter on their 202 once and posted in one of the forums. They actually lost 1 hp. The MB airboxes are actually quite well designed. I would put the old one back. If nothing else, it will help you rule out that the K&N is the source of your problem.

the arrow should be pointing in the direction of air flow to engine not filter hope this helps also fit a heat shield pls throttle body is at the end of the pipe connected to air filer at the intake manifold side the right of the picture
