View Full Version : My new carbon fiber air intake for C36, Not a GruppeM !

Even thought I know that this air intake system will not give me hp increse, but I like the sound and the feel after 5k rpm !! It may also fit on other W202 , A lot cheaper than GruppeM !!

Is it me or does the alloy part look smaller than the MAF ID?...

because he wanted too? It may not give 2 million hp but it looks nice and is probably of pretty good quality. C36 make good power as it is so I see nothing wrong with dressing up the engine.

I know there's nothing wrong in dressing up the engiine. You can use all the money for something else...

very true, but with all the ill advised mods out there. I really can't fault someone for a bit of functional carbon fiber.

well I mean its not like is a shift now or an engine cover. It does something. Sure it doesn't save much weight and makes no difference. But The car isn't lime green with underglow and an invader kit.

True! it does do something,it restricts the OE intake and draws in hot air....err xD

true, I guess it is restrictive, I dont think it draws in anymore hot air than stock tho.

but the stock's intake is infront of the radiator isn't it?

Doesnt the C36 airbox also take air from behind the bumper as well as the infront of the radiator?

Trustz can you post a few pics of the old C36 filter box?
