So im looking to change my stock exhaust, but need some opinions. I am currently looking at the Apexi Noir universal muffler. Ive read that I will probably need 2.5" piping for optimum performance. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

The exhaust is matte black and sort of a fart can look but sleeper at the same time.... Heres a link to what it looks like for those who havent seen it.

Looks a little fart can-ish to me, but to each his own. What you need to do is order the muffler and then take it to an exhaust shop and have them make a 2.5inch cat back exhaust with it. You could do a full exhaust but cat back will make it a fair bit louder already and a full exhaust will be a fair bit more expensive. You probably also want a sport resonator to replace the stock one as well.

I know i think it will make the car look good though maybe a little different from most 202s. How much do exhaust shops usually charge for a 2.5 exhaust installed? I looked at some resonators on ebay and was thinking of using a flowmaster 18-22"

depends, is it stainless? and what kind? Is it mandrel bent or crush bent? Mandrel looks nicer but costs more, there is no performance difference. You also have to figure in the rates associated. My exhaust cost $500 all said and done with a vibrant performance muffler and resonator.

So i finally ordered my exhaust.... Its the hks carbon ti muffler and i got it for a steal!!
Cheapest price on ebay is 385 i got mine for 330 while hks is selling it for 480. Pretty good deal i think. Check it out k2 racing. (use coupon codes)
anyways i need some suggestions. Is 3 inch piping good? C280 i6. And what other parts should i purchase now?

Ehhh, definitely post some vids when the exhaust is done. That muffler looks completely out of place on a Mercedes, maybe on a Honda though.
For the i6 I would recommend 2.5 inch piping all the way to the muffler. A good muffler shop should carry all the parts you need, just bring the new muffler in and request a quote on the piping + muffler install.

I know I got 2.5" piping from the header to my Lorinser muffler for $200 including a new flex pipe and muffler install/resonator removal.

What made you go with this one?.. Not saying one way or the other just curious. Would have to see it installed on your car i guess. Also are you staying with the tip that is on it?

Whats the stock exhuast size? 2inch? I got an ebay muffler just welded on my stock pipes for now. Idnt want te exhaust to be any louder. Does anyone know of a good hi flow cat thats carb legal and keep the noise down? Only reason i bought the muffler is bc it makes te back of my car look better.

Sorry if i thread jacked. Seemed relavent

I am going with the 2.5 inch as suggested by many. It will be straight pipes no cat no nothing. Lets see how it works out. I will post up videos and pics as soon as it done.
