does a c36 kit bolt straight onto a facelift 202?

I can only confirm the front bumper. Yes it's a straight swap.

Why not go for a C43 kit instead? Or is the C36 more readily available and so cheaper?

nw-merc, i prefer the boxy/squarish lines of the c36 kit as opposed to the curves on the c43, i also think the c36 kit is more exclusive than the c43 because of age/numbers produced etc

just doing a deal with a dude(!) about the sideskirts, i already have the bumpers, plus missing one fog lamp on the left. onwards..

thanks, i will do. im probably going to be sourcing/collecting parts till end of jan 2012, my vision is crystal clear and just needs to be implemented, some parts such as the alloys i want are hard to find as they went out of production years ago, still collecting parts inside and out. h&r springs and bilstein shocks are currently at the top of the list..

Sideskirts from a C36 will fit the pre-facelift cars, direct swap IIRC. I am not sure about the 97 C36. You can put the C36 on the facelift models, but there is something you have to modify to fit the mounting points, or something like that.

The C36 rear will bolt straight on but you will need to get the pre-updated plastic brackets that the bumper slides onto and also the pre updated impact bushes. and if you buy a genuine rear make sure you get the AMG stainless brackets that go with it to mount upto your impact bushes.

the side skirt is being painted, so sorry it hasn't been on the pics.
however i'm quite happy with the result, and aside from the rear muffler, everything is exactly in working order
