I've read that there is a silencer on the supercharger on a c230k but is that true? And if so how do i take it off?

yes there is. It's in the supercharger manifold, there are youtube videos on how to remove it. You can also get a louder blower by replacing the stock airbox with a cone filter. The thing screams!

I was thinking of going with both, I thought maybe it would scare some imprezas :)

It would but you really wouldnt go any faster. All bark and no bite and people would call you a poser pretty quick.

That's true, but I plan to throw some more mods at it soon, I just didn't know if you could actually do it or people were just pullin stuff outta there ass.

Do a custom intAke like mine , I left the silencers but sounds awesome . Go to you tube and enter custom w202 intake and you can hear mine :D

I left the silencer as well, even with a cat back exhaust at super charger is louder than the exhaust note. the car whines down the road.

Do you think I could use some exhaust tubing and some of those intercooler rubber clamps to hold of together then make a heat shield and drill and tap it for the throttle body and get the k&n dual inlet filter then paint it? I thought that might be scheaper than having a shop Fab up an aluminum thing LOL. I've heard your car and I love that sound! That's what I'm after but looking custom too :)

anytime you modify anything you want to make sure you do it right. when replacing the intake especially on the throttle body side you want to make sure there are no leaks and everything is air tight, any leaks can lead to a check engine light as i found out with a loose clamp . but was fixed after the fact. when you say cheaper i feel that if your trying to go cheap then dont do it at all as it will led into issues down the line. do it right is the way i see it .

I'm with Logic, I'm getting the piping from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body replaced this week with 3 inch tubing and a new bung for the maf. Do it right the first time.

If i read correct, if your going the intake route...
http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?16099-Is-there-a-bolt-on-short-air-intake-for-W202s-Specifically-2000-C230
This is my setup, I have no problems with it, and dont have to worry about hydrolocking and all the mumbo jumbo. Its loud as hell too. But meh, whatever floats your boat, Logics intake is pretty efficient as well, my setup requires a heat shield to be made, or your sucking in hot air, and that is not good.
Good luck with it.

I was thinking of something like that maybe then, does yours use the ram air from behind the grill at all? I know for some reason with the stock grill they block it and make it pointless for ram air to be there, but i wanna get a new grill and do ram air like you have it maybe.

Theres a big gapping hole right underneath the airbox, and theres also that regular hole that feeds the airbox that goes into the intake area. Plenty of air can get in.

What a snow performance methanol injection kit?

I wouldnt know anything about that. Im actually very reluctant to put any of that crazyness into my car =x

Meth injection is sued for two reasons, 1) it's used to cool the air, the same job an intercooler is for and 2) raise the octane of the gas to prevent detonation. Meth injection is really only necessary with high boost, like 15psi and up. But it works better than any intercooler and you don't suffer boost drop like you would with a fat front mount. The kits are universal and you install the jugs in the trunk. Most tuning shops sell the kits and the methanol too. They can either be boost activated or throttle activated. Depending on how hard you drive determines how often you have to top it off. I think kits are like $400 for the AEM one.
The downsides are of course the shit runs out and if you don't check your levels and run out while you are on the track or running it hard you can get detonation and blow your motor. The other downside is that you mix the methanol with water and its a tedious job buying the methanol and mixing it before you put it in the jugs. You really don't need it for stock boost or even with the ASP pulley. The only people on this forum who could actually use it would be our turbo guys.

Thanks zmatt I didn't know much about it and no one I asked did either lol So I have a tune and a custom magnaflow exhaust either the single round tip but I don't know what to do next for power? I was thinking an asp pulley but what do youguys think?

asp pulley isnt a bad idea. you will probaby also want to do an intake. there are three pain sections to our intake. the filter to supercharger section. the supercharger to intercooler section and the intercooler to throttle section. You will want to replace em all. larger piping and better bends will net you a few hp but it will help build boost faster so you get power faster.

That's what I was thinkin, I would love to do custom but that's not cheap lol Where could I get some pieces for the bends? I know the hose from the supercharger to the intercooler is all strung out and kinked looking and I'd love to fix that to flow better. Also I saw you have to do a MAF relocate with a pulley as well?
