I had the piping from the intercooler to the throttle body replaced today including a new housing for the maf. The piping is 3inches on the outside and about 2.8 something on the inside.
if anyone needs a maf housing btw mine is for sale lol.

looks much cleaner !! should paint them up with some high temp enamel , Looks like your valve cover has that burnt golden crap on it. I think its from the dealer cleaning the engine bay then it heats up and bakes onto the valve cover. I had the same discoloration on mine.

I think thats just the picture, it doesn't really look yellow. the paint is peeling though. It could use a fresh coat.

WOw man, I am jelly. That looks sick. How much did the whole thing cost you? Maybe once I stop being poor I'll get it done myself ^_^

Id say maybe $350 for both sides. The hardest part by far was the custom maf bung. We looked at getting a premade one, but they are $$$$ so we made one ourselves.
I love the look of the swap to aluminum/ss piping on our engine bays!

Yeah its pretty sweet. still overloads the maf though, even with the larger pipe. I'm miffed honestly. I guess I'll have to get torque'd and just keep clearing it? I'm having upsolute tune for the new piping size.
edit:
I just realized, it's throwing the same code, but that may be because it doesn;t expect that size piping now, instead of it being overloaded. ehhhh stupid bosch.

nice work, turned out great.
well did this larger housing fix the issue? Otherwise get a Split Sec variable MAF 5v sensor clamp and just do country road testing. I have it setup basically to the MAX, and it no longer causes the engine code/supercharger shut off.

I still get the code every bow and then, its o2 heater bank. Not sure if its related to the intake or not.
