Just bought this car. It has hardly been used since July.

Using the switches in the front centre console all 4 windows go down as they should but none will go back up properly. Nothing happens when the 'up' switch is used & only by many, many repeated tries on the 'up' button do they go up at all & then in tiny (¼ inch at a time) movements. They only do the tiny movements some of the time in response to the switch being engaged.

It's equipped with push button digital display climate control. Is this unit meant to be illuminated when the lights are on? Mine isn't lighting up.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

The light in the CCU is a known failure. To replace it costs ALOT. You can either deal with it or risk getting an electrician take it apart and try to repair whatever piece has died. An experienced electrician should be able to handle it.

The window issue is likely connected to the relay in the trunk. It's mounted on the frame rail, hidden behind the battery. It's a huge relay with like 40 wires going into it. Could need some cracked solder joints refreshed, or could have some corroded connections with those wires.

I took the CCU out of the dash & replaced the bulb in the white holder thing in the bottom but still no back lights on the unit. All the red & orange lights indicating which bit is working work but that's it. Further investigation needed.

The windows are fixed. All they needed was to be reset. 2 position switch, up one position (the manual 'bit by bit up' selection) & hold for 3+ seconds on each switch & now they work in manual or 'one touch all the way up' position 2.
