The M111 uses an Eaton M62 Roots supercharger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roots_supercharger). At stock boost it runs at 6psi (pretty low) and spikes to 8psi at the redline. ASP makes a pulley that raises it to 8psi. The supercharger has a clutch that is computer controlled and I think it engages somewhere around 1500-2000 rpm. It also also has it running at startup to help warm the motor faster. The car also has an electronic bypass valve which serves the same purpose as a blow off valve on a turbocharged car. This is the only supercharged car I have ever seen with one. It's kind of unique.

You are right in thinking it is not running at its full potential. 6psi is nothing. The ASP pulley will help but for real boost from it you would need a custom pulley. Superchargers make a lot of heat though and running it that hard would heat the air up and lower the density. We have a really crappy intercooler and it wouldn't be able to handle it. You would be better off fitting a new supercharger or going turbo at that point. I explained it in more detail in another thread in the performance forum here (http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?16413-I-have-been-wondering-this)

I believe you gave me a link to some pulleys, would one of those help the boost??? And its most likely that my supercharger is working fine???

ASP makes one for our cars, it raises the boost from 6 psi to 8 psi, which is pretty conservative. On know one member is looking into custom pulleys to see how far we can push it. most roots types don't like more than 10-12 psi but thats still a healthy bump in power.
