I understand that the supercharger on the c230 kompressor puts out very low boost numbers and an asp pulley will boost it a little but what is wrong with having a custom sized one made to get some numbers from the stock supercharger? Methanol or a bigger intercooler would be needed but it would still retain that it is stock and be more of a sleeper than going with a full turbo set up. Then just get yourself a stand alone ecu and tune it in right? I just wanna know why they don't make pulleys bigger that you can buy, any help on this would be great thanks!

nothing is wrong but it wouldn't be cheap. The cobalt guys seem to run to 15psi on the M62 so it may be worth it. I would find a pulley shop and see what they can do.
Some important info regarding the blower. The pulleys operate on a ratio like gears do. You want a bigger crank and a smaller blower pulley. the blower can only go so small because its clutched and I have head that it is already as small as it can be. That means you need a bigger crank pulley instead.

here is the flow chart for the M62. What you will need to know is the desired psi you want (I would shoot for 10 to start) and find out what the current cfm of the blower is. Then you can figure out how efficient it will act at X psi.

I wouldn't think it would be too expensive to have a custom pulley made? I just thought maybe it would be a cheaper route than going full turbo lol. Spend some time tuning it in and you'd have some nice numbers I'd think

i was wondering the same thing about the pulley, cause i felt that the supercharger was a little weak. let me know what you find out

With all honesty.. it isn't worth the time and money to fab up a custom pulley.. you are better off spending that time and money on either a complete supercharger upgrade.. or put it towards a turbo. the stock charger isn't that good.. and if you want to run anything over 12psi you need to go with an after market/custom supercharger install. I used to run a Kleemann kit.. and according to Kleemann the supercharger was actually over spinning slightly with their kit. the stock charger just wont put out the power you might be after. but I don't doubt with a good solid aftermarket supercharger you can get the results you want. I was running 12-13psi on my stock charger.. with all my mods I was putting almost 200hp to the wheels and over 200ft lbs of torque. it was fun to drive!

They make a Kleeman kit for it?? I know they did for an amg but I didn't think they did for the c230 lol I want some good power from it, and I like that when you look under the hood the supercharger is hidden and it keeps it true to how it is. One day I want to put some cams in it and maybe a six speed for an slk :P
