Recently, I fitted the 99-04 Mustang Fog Lights in my 2000 C230 Kompressor. Now that this has been accomplished I'm wondering if I should put 4300K HID's down there and then put 6000K's for my low beams. Basically what do you think is the best HID combo (fogs and low beams)? Or do you think is this overkill, and is there any way to reduce the glare (if any) for oncoming traffic besides aiming the low beams lights lower?

Can you post pictures? Is it possible for me to put fogs down there even if I didnt have them/the wiring initially?

Not stupid at all, it's a learning process.

First you need to upload your pictures to a hosting site like imageshack, google etc.
Second type this on post you're doing - w/out the quotes "http://imageshack.bogus.com/the_image_you_want_to_share.jpg"
(where "http://imageshack.bogus.com/the_image_you_want_to_share.jpg" is the actual picture)
Don't forget the tag before and after the picture.

Did you allow outside linking to your pictures. In other words, this may be security issue.

create a thread on the members gallery. Post the links and I will help you there.

I think the reason why the image does not appear is due to the fact that imageshack does not allow outside linking or embedding of hosted images. That sucks.

If I were you, i'd host the pictures in other sources like google or gmail.

Nevertheless, I posted a link of your pictures above.

Yea I'm gonna try that tomorrow and see what happens, I have some better pictures of the install and stuff like that so when I get back home I'll post some better ones. I still haven't got them wired for use, but that will happen in a few weeks soo I'll be sure to post some pictures because I'm going to have to pop the bumper back off to get the HID's wired down there. I'll post some pictures of the final product and hopefully snap some more of the bracket and how I mounted them.

I prefer the bright white 4300k for both my (always on) lower driving/fogs and the low beams. The 6000k will be blue tint, and tends to be more glare to oncoming traffic, especially in rain.
As for aiming, the lower lights are usually pointed low anyway. But as for the retrofit HID low beams with original Halogen Lenses, you'll probably need to point them lower to avoid blinding oncoming traffic, unless you replace the original Halogen Lenses with the OEM Xenon Lenses as I've detailed in my lengthy photo/video conversion essay at http://kropf.net/w202/headlamps/

How did you do the wiring on these? I just ordered them from ebay and it said in the description it included wiring but no wiring... Since it's for a mustang I'm not sure lol

Unfortunately, I did not do the wiring, I paid a guy at a local sound system, radio, wiring shop to do it. He used these red connectors that basically feed off the existing H1 bulb wiring to the new 899 HID bulb wiring, he did not have to splice the existing wires at all, literally it took him 15 minutes. I can post pictures probably this weekend. Sorry for the late response, work has been crazy.

KindDEL - how in the world did you come up with this, a mustang, huh... I really like the look, very clean, and nice fit! I may have to rip the idea off!

You should do it it really adds to the look of the car. It was a great idea I agree :) I take no credit for the idea but I take credit for the instillation lol

Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier Mike, so you didn't have to end up splicing, but if it works okay then that's great! And yes it definitely contributes to the look of the car, and additionally if you put HIDs down the the road at night becomes much much brighter. Actually it wasn't even my idea a guy rey99c280 did it a few years back, and I just figured I'd take a shot at it and it worked out. I will try to dig up some of the pictures of the install.

I did end up splicing and cut too close to the connector for the corners cuz the wire broke...lol I was thinking of putting hids down there and in my headlights but more money lol I'm just glad the bulbs they came with were halogen to match, the Guy charged $15 more because in his add it said it included wiring but there wasn't any of course lol I went to Lowes and bought some metal 90's and drilled a hole in the outer casing of the light then in the metal support for the bumper and it worked great!

You will need to upload your phone pics to your computer first. Then you click on go advanced in the "reply" or "quote" you will see an Icon that is for attachments/pics when that opens click add files in the upper right side. the next box appears and select basic, from here the brose box appears and just click browse and find the pics on your computer (I usually drag and drop mine on desktop till uploaded, then put them back into their folders) once you find pics highlite and click upload, this will take a few seconds and there will be a green upload meter/line showing the upload rate. once you se it is finished upload another or click done, the enter your text for the reply. and your pics will be posted w/the message. hope this helps....
