Ebrake cable came loose

So the other day as i was going over a speed bump. I noticed that my ebrake cable came loose off the lever. I tried to go down there an see if i could attach it back on. But the cable seemed to not be able to budge. Wouldnt give me enough slack to try n hook it back on. On top of that. I think a little spring came loose bc i seen it on the ground next to it.

Anyone got any ideas? Should be a fairly easy fix right?

Don't know how it came loose and how you can put it back together. However I'm posting a photo of what it should look like. This is from my C230.
I hope it helps. You can see the spring right to the left where the cable is hooked up to.

Thanks for the pic. Now at least i know what it use to look like. Im gonna look at this when i get off work
