My car threw codes for a fuel filter as well as a bad maf sensor. It has almost no power now, I can hardly get up hills and I have changed both of those... I called mercedes and they said a faulty oil separator or clogged cats but I have no cats lol Has anyone heard of that doing this?? It sucks, I can't hardly pull out it won't go but it revvs and shifts right..

if you changed the MAF and filter already it should run ok for awhile at least, the oil separator is an easy change and wont break the bank. Check the air filter too and the intercooler hoses and see if oil got into the inlet manifold too, that may need a clean

That would cause it to lose all the power almost? I taped off the oil separator but it made no difference... It started out not so bad but now its awful, its happened gradually getting worse over about 3 weeks

if you got a code for the fuel filter that means there is not enough fuel coming to the engine so the filter might be blocked. if you changed the filter and the problem is not fixed check:
for your
fuel pump fuses
your fuel pumps (2)
if not unplug the end of the fuel lines and make sure the fuel is getting there correctly(something went from your than to the fuel lines and its blocking it but not completely) . I am pretty sure its related to the fuel. you ll see.
good luck

You said, it revs and shifts right. I take that to mean it shifts from 1st to 2nd...etc at the correct rpms.

If you have no cats, could your O2 sensors be hosed telling the car it is too rich causing the computer to trim the fuel way back?

We'll I spent like $230 trying to fix it and it was just a clogged injector...lol
