Repair Gurus,

I am hoping someone would know what's going on with my 1995 C220. Recently, I noticed voltage drop when the electric fans turned on. I have checked pretty much everything from battery, voltage regulator, and relays, yet haven't had the solution to this little issue.

During the drop, I could feel engine misfire along with voltage lost on the electronics for one short second. I do know for the fact that at the same time the electric fans kick in.

I suspect a malfunction voltage regulator, although it works fine when I tested it.

Should I changed the regulator anyway? Is there anything else I might've missed?

I appreciate your help.

Check your alternator. It might be the source and it's not cheap to replaced. :(

to save money you could get a rebuilt alternator as well

it has to be the alternator from what you describing, they do wear out after awhile

Y you trying to get rid of your C36??? Is it a 1995? I used to have a 1995 dont get me wrong i loved it but am looking for a newer year. I am thinking 1997 C36 or hopefully a 1998-1999 C43.

How many miles does your C-klasse have? What were youthinking in price?

The last time I change my alternator it cost me $310.00 including core charge. That is a rebuilt alternator.

Yes, Import tech is a good companie!! I bought a Bosch MAS and a Hengst Air filter from them. THey have the best deals around.

Eurosport, I am not sure i want a C36 again, well i do but i think it would have to be a 1997 with the 5sp tranny. BTW do you still have that system and Amp you were trying to sell a while ago?

What about the bushings in the alternator. Lot of times you can change this part and your alternator springs to life again. These use to give out on my vw before the alternator.

Nokia,

Are these bushings available?
