3rd Brake Light

How the hell do you remove the 3rd brake light???

take the back cover out then you'll see two pinch tabs on the base to pull it out

Remove as is get to the inside of the light fixture or remove as in take the whole thing out of the car?
To get it out of the car, you'll have to remove the rear seat and the pillars then take the rear deck out. There's a pair of push rings holding it to the deck.

Wow that's complicated huh lol I just wanted to clean the lenses, it was covered in dust...lol This may be a thread already but where is the egr valve at on the kompressor?

Um I was able to completely remove the entire unit the way wichipong has mentioned. didnt have to take apart my C pillars or remove the rear deck at all.

difference in years maybe. mine is mounted thru the rear deck with 4 plastic posts that are attached on the underside of the deck with 4 push type retaining rings.

Look around the exhaust manifold, you'll probably have to remove sections of the airbox and intake to get a good view.

The pre and post-facelift 3rd brake light fittings are exactly the same.
