Rear Window DeMister is busted, I think

hey there
ok, after trying to dry off my car last night the rear window fogged up so i tried to turn it on but it didn't turn on, the light and element
I've checked the fuses, got no obd scanner to check codes and the car does not have a check engine light (none in the dash). I've got the Hvac not the climate control.
any suggestions??

There will be a large, black rectangular relay located in the secondary compartment behind the fuse box. That relay controls the wiper, turn signals, hazards and rear-defroster. Pull it out and look for some electrical arching, if there's a slight indication of some - replace it.

It may be that
had a few problems with the wipers going off with the indicators
and sometimes when it's hot, the wipers stay on no matter what I do
I know that the solder in it has cracks so i might just re solder it
I'll check it tomorrow
