Does anyone know if any other instrument clusters from other models (i.e., W210, A208s ) will fit right into the housing space in a W202?

Both w210 and w208 fit, but the top protrudes slightly.

dpc004,
I have a '94 c280 and purchased a cluster from a '98 will this work in my '94? Reason I'm concerned is there are some butoms on the newer cluster that I don't have on my '94, I know some of those buttons are for setting the clock etc but will it still plug and play and fuction? thank you in advance for any replies.....

No, the post-facelift instrument clusters will not work (due to FSS and a few other things). I already tried.
Only the 94' - 95' instrument clusters will plug and play.

why did you buy an extra cluster???
on a side note,i have an extra cluster minus the clear plastic housing... mine broke so i had to buy a whole cluster from the junkyard. dunno mileage, and stuff but ill let it go hella cheap. l

:) Because my digital temp gauge was not lighting up and before I got the right information, I thought the only way to fix it was to replace the cluster... now of course after reading the forums here, I know it was just a burnt out bulb....:o
