Seeing there are so many variations of oem and replica bumpers and full kits (skirts rear bumper) for our 202s lets give some info to people either looking to upgrade or in other cases (like i did) get a bumper due to damage. Also any questions about fogs, DRLs, and anything else you can think of in that area. so come on everyone post your bumpers or full kits whether it be brabus amg factory rieger and so on!

ill start it off. heres a before and 2 after pictures one close up and a further away one so you can see the profile. it was factory 97 c230 front then due to damage i ordered a euro replica c36 bumper by duraflex. good quality actually. came primed and ready to paint. easy install too. Came with the slot for the euro plate so it sits flush. there is just no fog lights or the middle vents but you can buy both to fill it in and make it look more legit

I've modified mine too.
Replaced my OEM 97 C230 front bumper to Euro OEM AMG C36 one. I ran it without foglights for about 4 years before I was able to find a brand new set of OEM C36 fog lights from The Netherlands.

Here are some pics of it without the fog lights.

Here is what a C43 fog light looks like. Not recommended for a C36 front.

my headlights are by spyder. the other ones had a wierd yellow tint to them and i rlly didint like it. saw these and like them alot so i figured id try them. they are projector headlights so the low beam is in a little cylindar shape housing. then the fog lights are as well and the high beams are normal. it also has clear corners with a reflective strip inside so my amber bulb makes it look amber. so when i buy a clear one it will be totally clear. heres a pic of them with lights on and one with off.

i love your clear ones though. alot better than mine. in the next year or two when i search for a c36/43 i will for sure keep it 100% stock except for the headlights. i want yours they make it look amazing. and your wheels too lol i like them over regualr monoblocks. your cars is just too clean lol i wish mine was the same lol

Do those dureflex bumpers not come with the center grills thats cover the bolts for removing the bumper ? How do you attach it to the existing skeleton of pre face lift bumpers ?

it replaces the whole bumper. and no it only comes with what you see on my pictures. it attaches to the tabs and clips from the other bumper.

i believe the bumper is the same way. just remove it then there should be clips and tabs. as for the side skirts i would assume they either go over it or remove the original

I like the projector headlights you have installed. I almost purchased the same ones but the PIN connection is 5 versus the W202 4 PIN setup. How did you connect yours since the pins are not the same?

The 5th pin is on the end so when you plug it in you can just go in on an angle so the 5th one bends off. It's all in clean though

Have you had any problem with the lenses fogging up at all being that they are plastic? How are the corner lights hooked up? 430

I have a question about our rear bumpers. I don't really like the fact that my front bumper and side skirts are pretty low, but then the rear bumper is a lot higher than the two (as you can see in my sig). I was looking at the rear bumper and it looks like there is a lip that you could prbly remove. Are the any OEM or aftermarket rear bumper lips anyone has seen?

I'm not sure about facelift 202s, but the pre-facelift rear bumper's bottom strip is actually a part of the whole bumper's skeleton and cannot be detached. In other words, the top strip of the bumper that looks like the body molding on the rest of the car is actually the same piece as the lower lip. As for lip extensions, I have only seen the ebay ones that look like the one you already have and the Rieger rear skirts, which make your car look A LOT lower. The drawbacks of the Rieger is that you either need to modify your OEM muffler so that it doesn't burn the skirt or buy a new muffler entirely to fit through the whole, not to mention the thing comes with no installation instructions whatsoever.

Edit: I just thought about it, and with the higher cost of the Rieger extension, you may want to just consider buying one of those Duraflex C36 or C43 replica bumpers. It will look more OEM and definitely make the rear look lower.

I think im gonna be looking for c36 sides and rear bumper. Oem though. Theres a guy in monterey whos got the whole c36 replica kit if anyones interested. I think it was going for hella cheap too. Like $400 i think? I can prolly get it for cheaper. I was goin to get it. But i want oem bc the side skirts dont have the cut outs. You have to cut it urself.

I see the corner lights have a 2PIN plug when the OEM set has 3PINS. What did you do in that situation?

Is your kit and OEM one? I just Fitted an OEM C36 kit and it was easy. Not one hole had to be drilled. I imagine the OEM C43 kit would be similar. Be warned that the AMG specific hardware to attach the kit is not cheap.
