Carbon fiber wrap

Im going to get my hood wrapped in that diNoc wrap and from what I have seen it looks good , I also ordered a black Mercedes hood emblem also. Has anybody here done that and if so what do you think?

I've wrapped my door handles and the trim piece on my trunk lid, and I have to say it looks pretty cool EXCEPT it is very prone to scratching. If you get rubbing compounds like wax on the dinoc, it will stain white. That being said, wrap your hood, make sure its a very clean job, then resin-coat it so the dinoc is protected and has that shiny look to it. I think it will look fantastic.

After having them for over a year now, one of them has a scuff from wax or something of the sort and some of the edges are peeling. If I took the time to sand down each door handle and clear coat it after the dinoc, then the job would be extra clean. Now I'll probably just color match the handles to my car since I bought a can of 149 white.

not sure if ill go with a resin coat but i m pretty anal about what i do. i have a good friend who has a shop that does that. key is clay bar and he has a cleaner to treat it for best adhension .

That door pillar is clean too. Maybe i should redo mine too. I have a sport. But the oem CF is all faded

I have OEM cf in the door cards, and the rest are aftermarket cf, makes my car look a little tacky :(

DId you not regret this after? Personally, i feel that Mercs shouldn't have CF bonnets or roofs :P But damn, this is a good wrap mate!

naaa i didnt regret this as if i get tired of it ill just pull it off. being a older mercedes i feel doing something like this is ok and i wont yellow like most CB hoods.

The pillars, handles, and hood all look clean. For some reason I feel like the hood is a bit out of place but because its such a clean job it blends really well. Anyone know where I can get a guide for those pillars?

Are those actually pillars or just some cf with 3M backing to overlay my existing pillars? My OEM carbon is fading away and needs replacement :(

There over lays , I bought those years a go as mine were doing the same thing. I got the real cf but you have to remember they will yellow a little

only problem i find is that this oem cf stuff are all different patterns. The reason i use this 3m cf wrap is because its the same pattern all the way through.

I'm not a total fan of Carbon Fibre on a W202, but that does look pretty awesome. Especially the pillars. I think you just made me want to do mine flat black. haha
It really does look awesome though dude. Good job. shits clean.
