Instrument Cluster Failure?

I had a weird moment when I went out to start my car and noticed that the engine temp, fuel tank, speedo and tach stopped working, while the ambient temperature, odometer and clock still lit up. Anybody ever have this problem?

yea that might be a sign of failure, mine was giving me trouble and I sent mine to BBA Remanufacturing in Massachusetts they did a good job
